Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Screen Ruler is a static, client-side tool. There is no backend server, no user accounts, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. This policy explains exactly what little data exists and where it goes.
What we store
When you calibrate the ruler, a single number — pixels per millimeter for your display — is saved using your browser's localStorage. This value:
- Stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
- Is not linked to your identity, IP address, or any other information.
- Can be erased at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this page.
What we don't collect
We do not use cookies, analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or any form of visitor logging. We don't know who visits this site, how often, or what they measure with it.
Third-party services
This page loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Loading a font causes your browser to request font files from Google's servers, which may log standard request data (such as your IP address) under Google's own privacy policy. We don't control or receive this data.
Children's privacy
Screen Ruler collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this site's data practices ever change — for example, if analytics or advertising are added in the future — this page will be updated first, with the date above revised accordingly.
